The Boogie Kings’ Christmas at WTA’s Gateway

One of the Valley’s favorite music trio’s will hold the stage at WTA’s Gateway on Saturday, December 8 at 8 pm.  The Boogie Kings will feature music from their Boogie Kings Christmas cd as well as some of their more popular Boogie Kings’ tunes.  Also featured will be Kevin Chisnell (Vocalist and Blues Harmonica Specialist).

The Boogie Kings consist of William Hayes, Piano/Vocals, Richard Adams, Horns, Bass and Vocals and J.T. Fauber on Percussion.  Adams is the creative genius behind The Richard Adams Variety Show.  He travels extensively as the Ican Man.  He also teaches brass instruments at Bridgewater College.  William Hayes (keyboard) is a virtuoso on both piano and accordion. The band was formed in 1984 and have entertained audiences throughout Virginia.  Since 2006, they have served as the house band for The River City Radio Hour.

Kevin Chisnell is known far and wide as the Valley’s Bluesman.  His own Mojo’s Very Bluesy Christmas will be seen at the Gateway on Saturday, December 15.  He cut his performance teeth in the theater, acting on stage since he was 6 years old. He started playing harmonica in high school and has been tooting the Mississippi Trombone all over the country ever since.
